Mars Shoots For $1.5 Billion Via JPMorgan

– Global candy and food maker Mars Inc. is seeking up to $1.5 billion in private funds via JPMorgan, according to several sources. The colossal deal is being done partly to finance the company's $23 billion acquisition of chewing gum maker William Wrigley Jr. Co., and partly to raise new capital.

Citi To Price C$150 Million For CCL

– Citigroup is set to price a C$150 million ($140.9 million) private placement for Toronto-based consumer product packaging maker CCL Industries Inc. The company is a repeat issuer in the private market.

Cabot Back In Private Market

– Houston-based energy company Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. is drilling the private market for funds for the second time this year via JPMorgan Securities. The company last tapped the market for $425 million in January.
